May I Introduce Miss Alyxs Shaw....

This week's show was the first official MusicBubble with my lovely co-host Alyxs. We have been doing this radio thing together for awhile before this new show started and I have to admit.... there's a defiant Bromance goin' on....

On this week's show....
In the last couple of weeks, Glastonbury tickets were released, then sold out and now rumours are spreading. Therefore, Alyxs and me decided to have a look at the headliner rumours that were flying around the Inter-web. The main band we found exciting as a rumour was Fleetwood Mac. - even though I won't be going to Glasto (due to no pennys), I would love to see this legendary band re-group and make festival history. - Here's hoping!

Have a listen to the show below for the now regular features of the Chill-Out Track, Album of the Week and other great tunes. You'll also get your first sampling of Alyxs' hilarious chat.

LOVE x

Show No.1

Here it is, my first show of MusicBubble - hopefully it can only get better!

For the hour I played a variety of new music from some great artist and bands; also including a 'Chill-Out Track' and an 'Album of the Week' which I will change every show.

Just to confuse everyone as well I ended my show with a Led Zeppelin song. I'm very aware that this not in anyway classed as new music but I did have some reasoning behind this. My show was broadcast the day before the London Premiere of Led Zeppelin's 'Celebration Day' release. Seeing as Led Zep is one of my favourite bands it seemed only right to finish my first show on one of their classics that I got my listeners to chose.

Below is the recording of my show (I will be posting these every show) so have a listen and let me know what you guys think and if there is anything you think I should be playing.

LOVE x

The beginning of something good *fingers crossed*

THURSDAY 5pm to 6pm - is now the new time slot for MusicBubble. You can tune in this week to hear the pilot. And Yes, I am using the word ' pilot' to cover my back if any of the features etc are a bit dodgy.

My student radio station also has a new website so check it out and it is also where you can live stream my show. - www.strathclydefusion.com

What my show is all about
Every week I want to play an hour of popular and new music from an array of alternative genres. 'Alternative' is a bizarre word as it doesn't really mean much but is used alot to describe unusual fashions and trends. My reasoning for the word-use is basically to illustrate the fact I won't be playing mainstream chart music.

There are loads of bands and artist who have been releasing music over the past years but have always skimmed the surface of mainstream and never quite fit or who are on the road to 'making it'. These are my kind of people and the type of unconventionality I'm wanting for my show.

After my first show on Thursday I will post up a new playlist and (hopefully) a recording of the hour so you can listen if you missed it :D

LET'S DO THIS.
